Senior Animal Care Assistant
Felicity started at our practice as an Animal Care Assistant, having gained a BTEC ND in Animal Care. In the future she wishes to train as a Veterinary Nurse and enjoys the experience she gains at Cave Veterinary Specialists.
In her spare time she enjoys walking her dogs, Gilbert and Sullivan and sewing.
Casey completed her Diploma in Animal Management at Cannington College. It has always been her amibition to work with animals and when she is not at work she has two dalmations, Lola and Levi and four cats, Tilly, Chloe, Hissy and Midge to keep her busy.
In her spare time she enjoys gardening, walking her dogs and visits to France.
Catherine, whose parents own a Beef Farm, grew up working with animals. She has a National Diploma in Animal Management and previously worked at Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Chard where she was Head of the Large Farm section, living on site with a wide range of responsibilities including administering medication to farm animals and vaccinating dogs and cats. She decided to apply to us for a job when marriage and a house move changed where she was living. She loves seeing all the different cases that come through our door.
Out of work Catherine loves riding her horse Ebony and walking her two Border Collies. She also has a cat called Milly who was a rescue she took on from Ferne Animal Sanctuary.
Annie joined us here at Cave Veterinary Specialists in 2017 after working with racehorses since leaving school. Annie has NVQ 2 and 3 qualifications in Racehorse Care and Management and is a member of a number of equine charities including the Donkey Sanctuary and World Horse Welfare. Annie decided to pursue a role at Cave Veterinary Specialists to gain experience in a small animal environment. She enjoys learning about the different cases that come in to the hospital and has a particular interest in helping in CT, Ultrasound and Xray and seeing patients get better and able to go home is the most rewarding part of the job to her.
Outside of work Annie enjoys horse racing, keeping fit, running, tennis and athletics and is a keen Exeter Chiefs supporter! At home Annie has three ex-race horses and four rescue dogs which include three Lurchers and a Whippet called Scooter, Ozzie, Rufus and Louis who she has had since puppies.
Poppy joined us as an ACA in 2018 from Quantock Veterinary Hospital. She would like to gain more experience working in a referral hospital before she pursues a career in veterinary nursing. At work, Poppy enjoys assisting in ultrasound and X-ray and caring for patients until they are able to go home.
Outside of work Poppy enjoys kayaking, swimming, cooking, drawing, reading and walking her two dogs: Sid, an 8 year old Border Collie and a more recent addition, Ozzy, a very energetic black labrador!

Catherine joined us in 2018 after finishing college where she was studying Animal Management as well as volunteering with wildlife for the RSPCA. Catherine is looking forward to expanding her knowledge and skills and learning from our specialist teams here at Cave as she is interested in becoming a veterinary nurse in the future.
When not at work, Catherine enjoys long hacks and walks over the Quantocks. She adores her German Shepherd X Collie, Monty and her dwarf rabbits Clover and Flora. She also shares a thoroughbred called Mystery and enjoys spending time with her.
Fiona previously worked as a secondary school English teacher and as a volunteer in the cattery at West Hatch RSPCA. Volunteering at the RSPCA reaffirmed her desire to pursue a career in animal care and Fiona would now like to become a veterinary nurse. She feels that working here at Cave Veterinary Specialists will provide the first step towards that career change. Fiona has a particular interest in CT and X-ray imaging. She also enjoys interacting with the patients and looking after them in recovery.
Fiona enjoys reading, video games, travelling and exploring National Trust and Areas of Outstanding Beauty locally. She still volunteers at West Hatch RSPCA when she can.

Kate has recently finished college and has been busy working her dogs on a shoot before joining us here at Cave. Kate would like to gain experience in a veterinary referral hospital as she would like to train to be a veterinary nurse.
Kate enjoys working with dogs and also spends her time working on the family farm with her dad. She has a Springer Spaniel called Tilly and a farm full of cattle and sheep!

Amy joined us here at Cave Veterinary Specialists in 2019 having previously worked as a receptionist at a holiday centre and as a cashier. As well as work experience at Secret World Wildlife Rescue and at Vets4Pets, Amy has a BTEC Level 3 ext diploma in Animal Management and BSc (Hons) Applied Animal Management. Amy has always wanted to work with animals and aspires to be a veterinary nurse, either with domestic animals or wildlife. At work, she enjoys assisting with endoscopy procedures and chemotherapy.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys going to the gym and is a keen artist, painting and drawing all types of animals and nature. She also enjoys reading. Amy has a black Labrador called Bella who is 15 this year, as well as two rabbits - a chinchilla x french lop called Ruby and Jamal, an English x-breed.

Laura Bright - Theatre Technician
Laura worked for the last 6 and a half years as a Laboratory Technician but aware of Cave Veterinary Specialists' reputation for excellence came to us seeking a position in animal care. She is now fully immersed in the work of the organisation and enjoying learning all about the work we do here.
Laura loves walking with her 6 year old black retriever cross Springer Spaniel, Ruby, who is always full of energy and the inspiration behind Laura’s book in progress! She also loves baking, reading and a variety of crafts.
