Felicity started at our practice as an Animal Care Assistant, having gained a BTEC ND in Animal Care. In the future she wishes to train as a Veterinary Nurse and enjoys the experience she gains at Cave Veterinary Specialists.
In her spare time she enjoys walking her dogs, Gilbert and Sullivan and sewing.
Casey completed her Diploma in Animal Management at Cannington College. It has always been her amibition to work with animals and when she is not at work she has two dalmations, Lola and Levi and four cats, Tilly, Chloe, Hissy and Midge to keep her busy.
In her spare time she enjoys gardening, walking her dogs and visits to France.
Catherine, whose parents own a Beef Farm, grew up working with animals. She has a National Diploma in Animal Management and previously worked at Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Chard where she was Head of the Large Farm section, living on site with a wide range of responsibilities including administering medication to farm animals and vaccinating dogs and cats. She decided to apply to us for a job when marriage and a house move changed where she was living. She loves seeing all the different cases that come through our door.
Out of work Catherine loves riding her horse Ebony and walking her two Border Collies. She also has a cat called Milly who was a rescue she took on from Ferne Animal Sanctuary.
Laura worked for the last 6 and a half years as a Laboratory Technician but aware of Cave Veterinary Specialists' reputation for excellence came to us seeking a position in animal care. She is now fully immersed in the work of the organisation and enjoying learning all about the work we do here.
Laura loves walking with her 6 year old black retriever cross Springer Spaniel, Ruby, who is always full of energy and the inspiration behind Laura’s book in progress! She also loves baking, reading and a variety of crafts.
Shannon joined us in 2016 here at Cave Veterinary Specialists after gaining her Level 2 Animal Nursing Assistant Qualification whilst volunteering for a year at a small animal hospital in Sidmouth, where she learnt how much she loved the job and working with animals.
Shannon pursued working at Cave Veterinary Specialists to give her the experience that she will need to become a Veterinary Nurse one day. Interests within work include walking the patients, sitting with them whilst they eat as well as brushing the animal and making them feel as comfortable as possible. Interests outside of work include craft, reading and playing and walking her dogs at home. Shannon also has 2 poodles, a dalmation and a tortoise who was a birthday present when she was younger.
Catherine joined Cave Veterinary Specialists after spending 7 years working for David Pipe Racing. After spending time working with horses, Catherine decided to change her career to focus on becoming a Veterinary Nurse. Interests at work include working with and looking after the animals as well as hearing about their interesting cases.
To keep Catherine busy outside of work she has two horses, Pit and Puddles, a Golden Retriever called Alfie and two cats named Bugsey and Herbie.
Bethan joined Cave Veterinary Specialists in 2016 after spending 2 years at a microbiology laboratory as an assistant whilst studying at college. Bethan pursued working at Cave Veterinary Specialists to gain experience as she would like to become a Veterinary Nurse in the future.
Interests at work for Bethan include walking the patients and assisting during CT & ultrasound. Outside of work Bethan enjoys horse riding and playing with her kitten, Peanut.
Before joining us here at Cave Veterinary Specialists, Jordan had previously worked as a Fitness Instructor, Dementia Support Worker and an Assistant Herdsman. Jordan would like to work towards his Veterinary Nurse training and complete a dog handling course so that he can pursue a career in the Army as a vet nurse.
Jordan's main interests at work are spinal patients and post operative care, as well as a keen interest in cardiology related cases.
Jordan's hobbies outside of work are boxing and running with his Staffie cross dog Denzel. He also has a springer spaniel called Alfie and a Siberian Husky called Lola.
Claire joined us here at Cave Veterinary Specialists in 2017 after previously working as a Pharmacy Dispenser. Claire's dog was treated here at Cave and her life long dream was to always work with animals which helped to give her the push she needed to apply for the job of Animal Care Assistant!
Whilst in work she enjoys spending one to one time with our patients as well as helping out during scans and hopes one day to train as a Veterinary Nurse. Whilst out of work Claire can be usually found in the gym and has a black belt in Taekwondo. Also to keep her busy she has British Short Hair named Tabitha, a rescue dog called Archie and a Shihtzu named Suki.
BSC Animal Behaviour and Welfare
Before joining us here at Cave Veterinary Specialists, Ptolemy spent 6 months working at a rehabilitation centre in Cape Town, here he raised African penguin chicks to be released back into the wild. He has also worked at a number of zoos and veterinary practices both in the UK & France. Ptolemy studied Animal Behaviour and Welfare at the University of Plymouth and is applying the skills and knowledge he has learnt to care for our patients. Interests out of work include, running, biking, triathlons and bird watching. He also has a chocolate Labrador called Truffle and a cat named Tiggy!
Annie joined us here at Cave Veterinary Specialists in 2017 after working with racehorses since leaving school. Annie has NVQ 2 and 3 qualifications in Racehorse Care and Management and is a member of a number of equine charities including the Donkey Sanctuary and World Horse Welfare. Annie decided to pursue a role at Cave Veterinary Specialists to gain experience in a small animal environment. She enjoys learning about the different cases that come in to the hospital and has a particular interest in helping in CT, Ultrasound and Xray and seeing patients get better and able to go home is the most rewarding part of the job to her.
Outside of work Annie enjoys horse racing, keeping fit, running, tennis and athletics and is a keen Exeter Chiefs supporter! At home Annie has three ex-race horses and four rescue dogs which include three Lurchers and a Whippet called Scooter, Ozzie, Rufus and Louis who she has had since puppies.

Paige joined us here at Cave Veterinary Specialists in 2018 having previously worked in the care industry caring for autistic adults, however she wanted to pursue her dream of working within a veterinary role. Paige has a FdSc in Animal Management and she would like to build on this by gaining the knowledge and experience needed to train as a veterinary nurse. Her interests at work include watching ultrasounds, learning about the variety of cases that we have and caring for the animals so that they can return home.
Out of work, Paige enjoys reading books and looking after her animals which include her two cats Blueberry and Muffin, two bearded dragons, a gecko and a ball python!
Lizzie Attree - Theatre Technician
Before Lizzie came to Cave Veterinary Specialists in 2016, she worked in horse racing and at Cannington College in Bridgwater as a Yard Technician. Lizzie loves animals and thoroughly enjoys learning about different and interesting cases that come in to us at Cave Veterinary Specialists, but she has a particular interest in theatre and various surgical procedures.
Whilst not at work, Lizzie enjoys walking her Springer Spaniel, Tilly.

Louise Rushton - Theatre Technician
Louise joined Cave Veterinary Specialists in 2017 as she wanted a change in career from working in an office and because she loves animals. Louise is hoping to gain enough experience so she can go on and train as a Veterinary Nurse.
Louise has a Weimaraner Gracie who is 10 years old and two rabbits, Richard and Henrietta. In her spare time, Louise likes walking her dog, running, cooking and reading.
