Felicity started at our practice as an animal care assistant, having gained a BTEC ND in animal care. In the future she wishes to train as a veterinary nurse and enjoys the experienced she gains at Cave Vet Specialists.
In her spare time she enjoys walking her dogs, Gilbert and Sullivan and sewing.
Casey completed her Diploma in Animal Management at Cannington College. It has always been her amibition to work with animals and when she is not at work she has two dalmations, Lola and Levi and four cats, Tilly, Chloe, Hissy and Midge to keep her busy.
In her spare time she enjoys gardening, walking her dogs and visits to France.
Catherine Cottey (currently on maternity leave)
Catherine, whose parents own a Beef Farm, grew up working with animals. She has a National Diploma in Animal Management and previously worked at Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Chard where she was Head of the Large Farm section, living on site with a wide range of responsibilities including administering medication to farm animals and vaccinating dogs and cats. She decided to apply to us for a job when marriage and a house move changed where she was living. She loves seeing all the different cases that come through our door.
Out of work Catherine loves riding her horse Ebony and walking her two border collies. She also has a cat called Milly who was a rescue she took on from Ferne Animal Sanctuary.
Clair has a First Diploma Animal Care, Level 1 and 2 Animal Nursing and an Advanced National Certificate in Zoo Management. She came to us from Chester Zoo where she was a Rhino Keeper and worked with various amazing animals from Black and Indian Rhinos to Zebra and Tapirs! Working at Caves gives her the opportunity to pursue her career in animal care, working closely on a daily basis with some excellent vet nurses and vets and with a view, like many of our ACA’s, to become a fully qualified vet nurse.
When she is not working, Clair loves going for long walks in the countryside with her two dogs 9 year old Benji (a black lab) and 5 year old Ollie (a Chihuahua), making her own cards and baking. She also has two cats (Samson and Pippin) and a 5 year old spur-thighed tortoise called George who loves sunbathing!
Laura worked for the last 6½ years as a Laboratory Technician but aware of Cave’s reputation for excellence came to us seeking a position in animal care. She is now fully immersed in the work of the organisation and enjoying learning all about the work we do here.
Laura loves walking with her 6 year old black retriever cross Springer Spaniel, Ruby, who is always full of energy and the inspiration behind Laura’s book in progress! She also loves baking, reading and a variety of crafts.
Rosie gained her C-SQP qualification and has completed a pet first aid course and a dog and cat care course. She is currently working towards her level 3 Veterinary Support Assistant diploma and canine communication diploma.
Rosie has a cat called Bella who is very high maintenance! Two male rabbits called Edger and Winston, an adopted white chinchilla, Filous and tropical fish. In her spare time, Rosie loves course fishing with her partner, baking and looking after her animals.
Beth joined Cave Veterinary Specialists in 2016 after working at a microbiology lab and the national trust.
She hopes to one day become a Veterinary Nurse and has a key interest in referral nursing. When not at work Beth enjoys walking her dogs on Exmoor as well as working on local shoots. Beth also has 1 cat, 3 dogs and some chickens!
Shannon joined us in 2016 here at Cave Veterinary Specialists after gaining her Level 2 Qualification in Animal Nursing Assisant whilst year volunteering for a year at a small animal hopsital in Sidmouth, where she learn't how much she loved the job and working with animals.
Shannon pursued working at Cave Veterinary Specialists to give her the experience that she will need to become a Veterinary Nurse one day.Interests within work include walking the patients, sitting with them whilst they eat as well as brushing the animal and making them feel as comfortable as possible.Interests outside of work include craft, reading and playing and walking her dogs at home. Shannon also has 2 poodles, a dalmation and a tortoise who was a birthday present when she was younger.

Catherine joined Cave Veterinary Specialists after spending 7 years working for David Pipe Racing. After spending time working with horses, Catherine decided to change her career to focus on becoming a Veterinary Nurse. Interest at work include working with and looking after the animals as well as hearing about their interesting cases.
To keep Catherine busy outside of work she has two horses, Pit and Puddles. A Golden Retriever called Alfie and two cats named Bugsey and Herbie.
Charlotte came to Cave Veterinary Specialists after completing her Level 2 apprenticeship in Animal Care Assistant, whilst gaining experience at a small animal practice in Taunton.
Charlotte enjoys working in busy environments and felt that Cave Veterinary Specialists would help her to improve her knowledge and give new challenges.
When not at work, Charlotte enjoys long walks with the dogs, as well as clay shooting and fishing. She also has 6 dogs, 2 horses, a resuce hamster and a very cheeky ginger tabby!
Bethan came to us in 2016 after previously spending 2 years at a microbiology lab whilst at college working at labratory assistant.
She hopes that one day she can become a veterinary nurse as she has always wanted to be invloved with animals. Interests at work for Bethan include, working in theatre as there is always plenty to do and lots to learn. Outside of work, Bethan enjoys walking as well as baking.
Beth came to us here at Cave Veterinary Specialists in late 2016 after previously working as a laboratory assistant and technician. She also recently graduated after studying wildlife crime and completed an independent study on the use of canines as biological fluid detectors at crime scenes.
Beth pursued employment here at Cave Veterinary Specialists due to seeking a challenging and dynamic role that would allow her love of animals to shine through whilst fufilling her aspirations of one day becoming a veterinary nurse.
Interests at work for Beth include, animals care and wellbeing along with being interested in the CT & MRI imaging. Whilst out of work Beth enjoys baking and cake decorating as well as looking after her impressively aged 18 year old goldfish called Frank!

Theatre Technician - Claire Brady
Claire joined the team in 2017. Claire loves animals and is hoping to retrain as a Veterinary Nurse.
In her spare time Claire enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, sewing and walking her dogs. She also grows her own vegetables.
Claire has two whippets, Lily and Betty who love to sprint and then after their exertions lie in front of a warm fire.
Theatre Technician - Louise Rushton
Louise joined Cave Veterinary Specialists in 2017 as she wanted a change in career from working in an office and because she loves animals. Louise is hoping to gain enough experience so she can go on and train as a Veterinary Nurse.
Louise has a Weimaraner Gracie who is 10 years old and two rabbits, Richard and Henrietta. In her spare time, Louise likes walking her dog, running, cooking and reading.
